City of Princes Amasya

Amasya, known as the city of princes, is one of the cities that hosted important rulers in the Ottoman Empire.

The city was founded in the valley around the Green River. In addition to the princes in the Ottoman Empire, it also hosted important names such as “Strabo”, the world famous geographer.
The city center is located around the Green River and surrounded by the mountains around the river. Although the center is small, a 2-day tour will be more than enough with its nature and historical texture.

It is possible to reach Amasya directly by intercity buses. However, unfortunately, there is no airport here for those who want to reach here directly by plane. Tourists who will use the plane alternative must first arrive at Samsun Airport. It is also possible to reach Amasya by bus from Samsun Airport.

You can pay a small fee to enter this museum where you will find the legendary story of two lovers. The carved mountain that made the story famous is also located here.
